I feel like the last 3 expansions kinda happened out of order. Big messy bloody faction war first Realm of death to put things into perspective Ultimate enemy, the legion returning and forcing us to finally do away with factions

I felt satisfied with Kil'jaeden. He & Sargeras did a lot of stuff over a long period of time. N'zoth's big plan was just to give Sylvanas a dagger, and she immediately gives it away I take it as meaning Ion & Holinka working together is better than them working apart
Kil'jaeden is complicated for me. His end was good, not gonna disagree with that. But my main issue comes with when it happens. Not only was there no build-up to his death but it happens in the middle of the expansion. It didn't feel right to me to do it then.

And then his and Gul'dan's successors are Argus and Aggrammar. Argus and Aggrammar lack the personality - they've got the threatening aura down but not as villains. Gripes I've got with N'zoth is he too was killed off too soon but still worked well as a final villain at least.

But I dont think we need individual bosses to have big personalities. The lich king. The legion. They felt very engaging, but N'zoth entire rollout was lacking. And Sylvanas isn't really an antagonist because besides the Baine mission you're not working against her
