It's clear she's different in appearance and conception compared to the rest of the undead. And while that appearance does matter for aesthetics what I care more about is what she's trying to do for the Forsaken. Calia is the first time they've had a leader who isn't using them.

Well, only time will tell what's their future. Will Calia stay with Voss, or Voss being rather anti-alliance would clash with personal friendships and desire to unite of Calia. My bet is on some forsaken joining the alliance, but who knows.

Keeping Calia on the Horde and having her lead the Forsaken also promotes good relations with the Alliance, considering Calia has many allies in the boys in blue. Taking her back and taking Forsaken with her would really only piss off everyone who stayed behind.

Wouldn't it work the other way though? Like, for now the living see the forsaken as mosters. Wouldn't the presence of the forsaken in the alliance be a thing that helps them to adapt and not having all the forsaken who knows where unless it's a war?

That really wasn't the case for the races in the Horde though. Thrall didn't have to join the Alliance to prove the orcs were good. Baine didn't either. I think it makes more sense for Calia to stand with Forsaken in the Horde who made so many mistakes.

For most regular people orcs are not good,. I just see way more interesting opportunities with Calia in the alliance, and things she could offer in the horde, like listening to sad story and offering a therapy hug, is not what would show the player what it's like to be forsaken.

Well, what Sylvanas was doing before wasn't exactly healthy for them either. It's an extremely confusing and hard time for the Forsaken right now as a whole.

I think it's an interesting parallel with the current forsaken situation. Forsaken do not have their leader, like lordaeronian refugees. Neither can come home. Both are somewhat welcomed by their factions. Another point to understand each other and reunite :p

Given that the Horde and Alliance are trying to have better relations and if Calia does become the Leader of the Forsaken it'll be more possible than before with Sylvanas in charge. Sylvanas doesn't believe in hope or family. She forsook that after Mists of Pandaria.

We know how this story will go. Alliance vs. horde there is here to stay. So having Calia being another forsaken leader during a war will not change how the alliance sees them. Now, having the presence of the forsaken who actively helps to their families - that actually could.

The Alliance vs Horde will stay. Yes. But that doesn't mean things will 100% be the same either.
