I say this as somebody who likes Maldraxxus' aesthetics, forsaken aesthetics, Lilian Voss, Nerubians, and spooky-skull-things. If they for whatever reason took those things away because of Calia then we've got a problem. I'm gonna give Calia a chance until then though.

If I was given the choice of who should lead and who should advise I'd prefer Voss to lead & Calia to advise. But Voss has every right to not want to lead as anyone. It's clear Voss works well as an adviser so as long as she sticks around we've nothing to fret hopefully.

We still have to remember: the majority of the Forsaken were from Lordaeron. The Menethil's are the rightful rulers of Lordaeron and there were a lot of Forsaken who would happily take Calia because of her lineage. There's a reason why Sylvanas saw her as a threat to her rule.

I'm just curious, where did you get that idea, that the first wave of the forsaken was dying in different conflicts so slowly, that after a decade of Sylvanas raising waves of mostly non-lordaeronians, those original ones, raised by Arthas, are still the majority?

It was a segment in Before the Storm. Calia goes to a meeting between humans and the forsaken, she's discovered to be the rightful heir to Lordaeron, and they try to join her because of her family's status.

Wait a moment? Sure, most of those who would be in the gathering could be lordaeronians because they were separated with somebody. Does it represent all? Plus some forsaken wanted to join their families in the alliance and saw her as their opportunity to do so. Not to crown her.

Obviously not every single Forsaken there or in the Horde approves of the Menethil crown. But those that wanted to stay with the Alliance and their families did see Calia as a beacon of hope. But even the leader of the Desolate Council chose Sylvanas over her - it's very mixed.

That is precisely why I am surprised why I see so rarely people making connection in why does she look so differently to regular forsaken, and known desire of some forsaken to reunite with their families in the alliance.

It's clear she's different in appearance and conception compared to the rest of the undead. And while that appearance does matter for aesthetics what I care more about is what she's trying to do for the Forsaken. Calia is the first time they've had a leader who isn't using them.

Well, only time will tell what's their future. Will Calia stay with Voss, or Voss being rather anti-alliance would clash with personal friendships and desire to unite of Calia. My bet is on some forsaken joining the alliance, but who knows.

Whatever happens right now Calia just wants to help out her people. She's not going to be as strict as Sylvnaas when it comes to who their loyalties go to.
