Ban'orak doesn't like showing weakness which is mainly why nobody sees just how down he actually is. He's so much and thinks he'll lose more. It's why he tries to cherish anytime he has with those around him.

It takes some time for Ban'orak to open up to anyone sadly. He's had others abuse such info or feelings in the past so he put up walls. Its not impossible to tear them down but it does take time.
