I love Norse mythology too, but by god, by the time Legion was done, I was kinda sick of Vrykul altogether. The Warrior hall was nice and all, but it didn't feel relatable in comparison to the others. Only familiar faces were the Ulduar Keepers and the Legionfall champs later.

Would've prefered the initial idea of the Warrior Campaign of including characters of old but my guess is they liked that idea so much they made Shadowlands in its stead. But they could've amended this by including living Warrior characters instead like they did in 7.2.

Absolutely. I have no doubt in my mind whatsoever that during Legion's inception, Shadowlands was suddenly brought to the table and they had to purge Skyhold of all our dead friends. Same reason I think that Uther's ghost was so lucid in the Paladin campaign.

The fact Warriors would've gotten Cairne, Grommash, Varian, Broxigar, Thura would be pretty badass though. One can hope we see some of those guys in Shadowlands at least.

There were plans to even give the Warriors the Axe of Cenarius too.

I really sad we didn’t get axe of cenaurius instead of stromkar. Stromkar is cool I guess, but come on, it’s the axe of cenaurius, it wounded Sargeras himself and killed an army of legion demons, would’ve been cool to use it against the legion once again.
