Definitely an Unpopular Opinion for most Forsaken players & players in general. But I think that Calia is a refreshing take on the Forsaken as a whole. Yes, she's not what we're used to. I say this as somebody who likes Maldraxxus' aesthetics, forsaken aesthetics, Lilian Voss, Nerubians, and spooky-skull-things. If they for whatever reason took those things away because of Calia then we've got a problem. I'm gonna give Calia a chance until then though.
If I was given the choice of who should lead and who should advise I'd prefer Voss to lead & Calia to advise. But Voss has every right to not want to lead as anyone. It's clear Voss works well as an adviser so as long as she sticks around we've nothing to fret hopefully.
Ehhh I'm a little disappointed in her, when I found out Arthas had a living sister I was really excited but ever since she became a lightbound undead, she's felt kinda... void of emotion. A bit boring for me. Also I do like the Forsaken to be 'morally grey' or the 'evil race'.
That's the issue we've had for too many years Mada. The Forsaken are never anything but a morally grey and evil race. Zelling was first-ever Forsaken who didn't distribute these traits and was killed. We need more like him.
That's unpopular? I thought everyone thought that. Honestly the way she's starting to feel more familiar with the Forsaken and the Horde Council, I think she'll do good with us. Let Lillian be the Shadow of the Forsaken, and Calia can be the light.
It's somewhat unpopular because to be their lead she would have to lead a bunch of non-lordaeronian forsaken and turn her back on the living lordaeronian refugees. Which is not really fitting to prove "worthy of a name Menethil". And would lead to other narrative contradictions.
I like her <in theory>! I really like her model and I'm interested in seeing what direction they take her story in going forward. My only personal reservation stems from the "shiny saviour" trope
Oh I agree. I hope she's not just a "shiny saviour" too. I want to see her character, her motives, her personality. Thrall isn't interesting because he's the Orcs saviour he's interesting because he's different and worthwhile.
