I'm on the fence about this article. There are pieces I agree and disagree with here, but ultimately a thought-provoking read.

I personally can never agree with the idea of abolishing the Factions altogether. Or having races from the Alliance flood over to the Horde (and vice versa) it would be awkward and odd. The best option would to just allow players to play together but for the Factions to remain.

The faction war should definitely take a back seat, but the factions themselves don't really have any reason to be abolished. They can exist without going for each others' throats.

It should defo take a back-seat now. BFA was a hope (in a lot of ways) to have that rich narrative focus-on-morallity war expansion and then realize "Ah, yes! War is bad!" Not, "Ah, yes, N'zoth is bad! We'll fight each other AFTER!"

The Alliance versus Horde conflict will always exist but the very least I hope it doesn't take a direct focus for at least an expansion. I'm still open to it turning to the Alliance starting the conflict at some point. We've not had that yet.
