It should defo take a back-seat now. BFA was a hope (in a lot of ways) to have that rich narrative focus-on-morallity war expansion and then realize "Ah, yes! War is bad!" Not, "Ah, yes, N'zoth is bad! We'll fight each other AFTER!"
The Alliance versus Horde conflict will always exist but the very least I hope it doesn't take a direct focus for at least an expansion. I'm still open to it turning to the Alliance starting the conflict at some point. We've not had that yet.

Would be nice to have a definite open salvo from the Alliance, work in some of that potential build up from Shadows Rising. I think there's a lot of places to go with it in terms of 'character self discovery,' but the characters on both sides need time to settle.

I'd actually like smaller scale conflicts. Like maybe the Orcs and NE get into another spat about Ashenvale but the rest of the Alliance and Horde sit out because they don't want a 5th war. Give the nations a bit more autonomy.

After some of the choices BFA made, any story that paints the factions as anything but big racial hiveminds is off on the right foot.
