I don't think we were going to get a storyline where others help him or saved him when nobody likes the guy. There's plenty of time for him to change his mind in Shadowlands still. But this is a fitting end to a character who's still loyal to Sylvanas.

Eh....... Its just disappointingly bad writing and doesn't leave a good taste to have a guy stuck in an abusive relationship just... Go down like that. He was robbed of better introspection.

Nobody in the Horde or Alliance was gonna help him out at that given point. It would be bad writing if suddenly or randomly a character would go, "We should try and change Nathanos' mind about his loyalties to Sylvanas!" And again he still can have that arc in the Shadowlands.

Right. Because we have no characters in the Horde or the Alliance who were previously in service of enemies... Who have experience in cults and trying to deprogram from them. How preposterous to imagine anyone thinking that's possible. Didn't Sira get killed? Lol.

The difference is we had characters reach out or try to change. Nathanos had neither of those all he had was moments of possible doubt but never acted on them.

Sira... Reached out and tried to change? In what way? The end literally finds her in a cell with the kaldorei saying they're gonna try to work to fix her. I see no reason the same couldn't be done by the forsaken, especially Lilian *and* Calia with Nathanos.

I wasn't talking about Sira. I was talking about other members of the Horde. In the situation of Sira she had her former mentor be able to step in the way to hopefully save Sira while also have her atone. Nathanos doesn't have that kind of mentor or former ally to do that.

I'll be honest. Not sure why Lor'themar says he was a bully in life. That's new lore they tossed in.

Lor'themar never liked Nathanos since he was under Sylvanas as the first human ranger. He's not gonna say anything positive about the guy. That's actually pretty old and in-character lore for the Regent Lord.

Pretty sure Nathanos being a bully is new.

Wouldn't be surprised if he did act that way honestly. We did barely get much info on Nathanos when he was alive to be fair. And even if it is new or old lore it's not out of character for Lor'themar to just talk negatively about Nathanos in general even if not truthful.
