I don't think a character is interesting depending on whether they're good or bad. They're interesting on what they do or act in a story. A character that demeans you and is constantly berating you isn't fun or interesting to me. Sorry, Sylvanas and Nathanos fans.

I can't find it now, but the other day I put out a tweet about how Nathanos' voice sounds "extra contempt-y" when saying his "Speaker of the Horde" goodbye line when you are playing a Vulpera. It always struck me as odd that he didn't seem to hide his dislike for most Horde.

I mean I'm pretty sure his appeal has always been that he's clearly the biggest victim of Sylvanas' abusive power structure. The guy is literally in the world's worst abusive relationship and the intrigue was seeing him break out of it. But oh well, no interesting stories allowed

I don't think we were going to get a storyline where others help him or saved him when nobody likes the guy. There's plenty of time for him to change his mind in Shadowlands still. But this is a fitting end to a character who's still loyal to Sylvanas.
