There's voice acting. It sounds more like Genn and he does say "I have fought the Blightcaller before." We know Genn has fought Nathanos.

I haaaaaaaate him. I’m glad player characters get to fight him to the death. I’m also kind of glad Tyrande got the final blow. This is Shadowlands, as Wowhead says, and it might not be the end of him.

This means he doesn't really get a second chance in life so I'm cool with if he comes back in Shadowlands and is stuck there.
