If Nathanos needed his cousins essence to be preserved, why is Derek Proudmoore not rotting? Lore things that keep me up at night.
Part of me always thought because he died to a Red Dragon's flame and his body remained next to it - it somehow preserved his body or something. The main oddity to me is why he doesn't look burned up then.

Also he was underwater for like 20 years. Normally he'd be a brine and seaweed covered skeleton since bodies don't preserve in water. Especially with a bunch of predatory fish and Murlocs around. Also wasn't his whole crew except him and Valentine skeletons too? Makes no sense

Compounding that - the PC isn’t even searching for his corpse. They’re searching for Valentine’s. After ignoring all the other bodies they came across, the PC finds Valentine and is like “Hey lets take this one too for lolz.”
