The amount of hatred people got for Jaina on my Twitter timeline lately is making me wish I didn't have eyeballs. Like holy shit calm down.

Stuff with Jaina was a lot to do with personal growth and finally getting to heal after suffering so much from the Horde and even relatives. Jaina finally started to feel like her old self again while also carrying the wisdom of the events of Theramore and Dalaran.
With Sylvanas, who was already on shaky ground as it is, I loved her in Wrath and parts of Cataclysm but for the most part, she was hit or miss. Legion I started to really like her because I thought they were pushing her more towards a Horde-like Sylvanas but that died in BfA.

I'm honestly more excited to see a Sylvanas who is a full-on Antagonist than a Sylvanas who is lying to us about being our ally. The role of a villain suits her more now. But it's this problem of flip-flopping of "Is she evil or is she good"? Just stick with one!

You hit the nail on the head as far as why I don't care for the Jaina story in BfA. Very flip-floppy character at this point and I didn't feel her heel-face turn in BfA was earned. I mean, she led an attack on a SOVEREIGN nation that wasn't part of the Horde at its outset.

For my part, on Sylvanas, I felt like nothing in BfA was growth from her attitude in Legion. She was barely present in the war, always doing her own little sidequests with us getting very little to no knowledge about what she was actually up to...just like BfA.
