justice for the Sunreavers / rastakhan ect ect I think jaina suffers from an extremely blizzard issue of "a character has to either be an evil witch or a perfect angel who never did wrong" and the pride of Kul tiras glossing over her past crimes cemented that for me

Really didn't "gloss over them" as you say. Jaina has a very muddied past & it's not ignored in the story. The incident where Baine needs to be rescued it's put in focus. It's why Jaina is so emotionally strained after they teleport to Mulgore and Thrall has to talk to her.

I found it hugely dissatisfying when I was expecting some nuance and growth and all we got was "oh no jaina we love you you're perf xoxox" ykno? its disappointing that nuance seems like something that just isnt done with regards to her or intact any wow character

Either we didn't see the same cinematic or it beated for you differently. I didn't get, "Oh Jaina we love you, you're perfect" I got "Jaina I'm sorry for what you've been through and I'm here for you as your Mother. Don't blame yourself for everything."

I think we just have different perspectives on the character and that's cool! no one engages with things the same way and it's cool that people feel things I dont about wow cinematics. to me it was just a shame and a non-development of her character

Yes, she has enough power to level Lordaeron's wall but teleporting away or using that power isn't going to have Kul Tiras rejoin the Alliance. Of course, she's going to do what her mother says when she's also the Ruler of the Nation.
