It'd be ESPECIALLY impactful if we learn Kel'thuzad is hoarding anima to try and save him from the Maw or otherwise return him back to his status as the Lich King. The one act of goodness Arthas had left, even in the Maw, killing Kel'thuzad before fading away entirely.

The one thing that stuck with me from Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne Campaign with Arthas besides Anub'arak was the one line where Arthas called Kel'thuzad his friend. I was really taken aback by that.

I think KT actually liked him but I think Arthas saw KT much like Sylvanas sees Nathanos.

Maybe with a little less loving going on between them but yeah I get what you mean. I'm very curious to see K'T interact with not only the Jailer but also Sylvanas as well. We've not seen those two interact for well over a decade.

Well that's the thing, isn't it? I thought that same thing when I tweeted that just now but I realized Sylvanas doesn't actually care about Nathanos in a loving way, Shadows Rising confirms that. She does not care about him at all beyond being a useful pawn.

The end of that book actually made me feel bad for Nathanos just a little bit. Like I still think the guy is a dick but yeah he's the dick who is also being used by Sylvanas. So I almost gotta pity him now.
