Well that's the thing, isn't it? I thought that same thing when I tweeted that just now but I realized Sylvanas doesn't actually care about Nathanos in a loving way, Shadows Rising confirms that. She does not care about him at all beyond being a useful pawn.
The end of that book actually made me feel bad for Nathanos just a little bit. Like I still think the guy is a dick but yeah he's the dick who is also being used by Sylvanas. So I almost gotta pity him now.
I hate both of them so it just made me laugh that it was a one-sided relationship and he was basically just a blind simp, but I get what you mean. I know people are all, "Yeah he should turn on her and kill her!" but giving a jilted lover the killing blow is SO incredibly cliche
Also we need more deaths like WotLK Arthas where its just sad...and then sad...and then more sad and then he dies. Nathanos doesn't deserve any kind of redemption turning against her. He deserves to die a sad, pitiful death, abandoned by the one person he wasted his undeath on.
