Cataclysm had so many amazing soundtracks in it that I still listen today. That's how I know when an expansion had good music. For me it has to be MoP, WoD, and Cataclysm for best Music. But WoW overall has some really good tracks also.
On a music-related note. I think Cataclysm has to be up there for some really good soundtracks in WoW. I see a lot of people forget about it. For the record, Nightsong was added in Cata so... yeah.https://youtu.be/7G6FfKXvZX8

I’ve recently been going through the soundtracks and listening to them, and honestly, BfA’s soundtrack is amazing! Particularly Beneath The Waves (Shrine of Storms music). The music actually tickles my anxiety a little bit.

Battle for Azeroth is definitely up there for good soundtracks. I think some of my favorites have to be: - Saurfang's Funeral - Saving Baine - Jaina's Melody - Zandalar Forever - Arathi Warfront (Alliance + Horde)

So much of the music from Cata still gives me chills (especially Nightsong, and when they made a little remix-sorta of it for Ysera’s final cinematic in Legion that was when I freaking lost it and balled my eyes out).

I don't hear Nightsong as much as I feel it. Whenever it plays I feel myself running through the fields and forests of Ashenvale, by the light of the moon; the soft wind blowing through my hair. So perfectly expresses what it means to be a Night Elf.

There are three things I see or feel when I listen to it: 1. The Darkspears readying to fight the vile Naga Witch Naz'jira for all she's done to them. 2. The Kaldorei running through the forests all alert and ready. 3. Ysera.

I may remember it wrong, but Cataclysm also gave us the old/new Zul'Gurub and Zul'Aman, and the cool troll music with them.
