I don't agree with redemption arcs being called "boring" and I also haven't actually seen that many redemption arcs for villains in Warcraft actually either.

Sylvanas is Kerrigan. She's fucked over everyone in her quest to become "pretty much the queen bitch of the universe." Kerrigan's Deus Ex Machina redemption arc vs an evil no one else could foresee was dull. So, too, will be Sylvanas' (oh and Illidan had the same arc)
