People are assuming that those in the Shadowlands are going to age fast but what if...what if Azeroth ages years when we're gone instead?
I'd absolutely LOVE a 5-10 time skip while we're gone. So many ways to revamp old systems and introduce/reintroduce characters. #Warcraft

I don't see much difference between 5 and 10 but to be honest, and I say this as someone who RPed in a VERY hardcore manner from vanilla-MoP, I don't think RPers should take precedence over something that could reinvigorate the story in a major way.
10 years is a tad more extreme compared to 5 in my opinion. But I do like the idea of a time skip regardless as it can add a lot to the world of Azeroth. Tanaris could finally get Hearthstone's Gadgetzan, child characters like Durak or Dagran can be pre-teens.
