I donno if I agree that telling us the jailer is the final boss in shadowlands is good or not. I'm not sure. I would personally prefer never knowing but at this point WoW has done it so many times that I can't actually be mad at it.
I'm so fucking tired of the Surprise-Villain at the end of an expansion. Archimonde, Argus, and N'zoth were all handled pretty horrendously. N'zoth at least there was somewhat of a build-up but we all know how he concluded. Really hope the Jailer is a good final villain.

I don't think you need to always have a villain of an expansion be the focus of the entire expansion. It stifles the ability to have different flairs of storytelling. N'zoth was probably the MOST broadcasted as the last villain and was bad, but Argus and Archimonde were fine.

I really have to disagree with you on that. I think Argus and Archimonde were some of the worst villains of the entire expansion. There was absolutely no build-up to either of them. I felt nothing when they were killed/defeated besides disappointment.
