Like you level through and come back at 60 which is when you'll start really delving into the meat. (no alpha access tho so just word of mouth)

Someone who has alpha accsess, this is correct. While leveling you do the main story for each covenent. we do not really get to see the "famous people" much in most of these. However once you reach 60 you choose a covenent to join, and in their campaign you see these people

So the revendreth covenent will likely introduce you to kalethas. while maldraxus introduces you to kelthuzad, and bastion to uther (he is seen twice in the leveling, but only minor)

I think it's interesting that Draka was the one they marketed as Maldraxxus's key figure at BlizzCon, when really she's more of a trio with Vashj and Mograine, and Kel'Thuzad is the big reveal. Though of those four, Draka's prolly the least exciting as a surprise. So I get that.

Could you imagine though if we got a Deathbringer of Draka's death? Showing us the betrayal of Orgrim's guards, Draka and Durotan fighting and losing, Little baby Thrall left to the wilds. And then they could show us her in Maldraxxus.
