They technically had an updated Varian model for Cinematics since the start of Warlords of Draenor with "Lords of War".

I assume there's a difference between an In-game model and a Cinematic model. I do wish they somehow implemented the model in-game somehow. I know Zekhan and Valeera were made in the opposite fashion. Their models were made for cinematics purely.
