They flat out describe Sylvanas, in her new role as Warchief, as her deciding if her people are more precious than her soul. They phrased it as a question, not a statement. Guess what? They're not. And people who paid attention knew that already.
I really think it makes more sense for Sylvanas to go down this route of caring for herself over her own people. I know it's super unpopular of an opinion but I liked that BfA and its finale of Saurfang revealing the snake that Sylvanas is.
I mean she always was this. I have no idea why people just decided to pretend that she wasn't. Even starting the Forsaken was literally all just for her own revenge plotline. And that's fine. But at some point Blizzard just let people pretend she was noble or not selfish.
I was fully expecting the Cinematic to turn around and go, "No Saurfang you're in the wrong. And I am right." and it would've been a middle finger to the Honorable Horde and Alliance players. But no they went through with it.
