I feel like talking about as I believe it's still pretty topical. In RP there were those (Orcs Roleplayers) who took things so much to the extreme that they basically shunned homosexual Orcs for various reasons. Saying along the lines of "stick with the old ways". (1/2)

I never really had Ban'orak go this route at all, despite being relatively old. As love was love in his eye. If a mate is strong, supportive, and cares for you that's all that really mattered to him regardless of their gender. (2/2)

I think either people are just stressing their views in IRL into RP or were basing it off outdated RPGs that didn't list off same-sex mates. Reason I RP is to have a good time. Yes, there are things that aren't allowed in RP like demons in cities usually but still...

I found part of my issue with WoW RP has been... if you play an Orc, specifically an Orc Warrior, people assume you're one of these people instead of well, giving you a chance.

I don't think that's the case, at least not completely. I think that people are usually accepting of most players but if you roleplay a certain way that is meant to be off-putting you're typically not going to make many friends or allies.
