Calia's whole character is to finally be what can heal her people. Sylvanas focused way too much and way too long on the negatives of being undead. Finally we have a character who can focus on the good and help them out.

Good luck selling that to the Forsaken playerbase, who got into the race because of their dark, pained edge. You can't just try to 180 a player race that's been thoroughly established since vanilla and expect it to go over smoothly. No matter how hard people try, there will-

-be vast swaths of the Forsaken playerbase that will never like this shift. Not an insignificant vocal minority, but the bulk of us. Because, all technicalities aside, the entire theming and aesthetic of Calia is diametrically opposed to the product that the Forsaken are.-

-disillusioned on WoW's story for so long now. This is just another fire on the road. I'm just pointing out how she doesn't work and how she won't fit with the playerbase to those who really, really want her to. Mainly because they want the Forsaken to be something different-

It's bound to happen with the Forsaken with Sylvanas gone. Maybe not to the extent y'all are thinking but better to rip off that band-aid now.

I keep seeing you say this. "Rip off that band-aid now." Tell me, what do you mean by this?

Ripping off the band-aid now basically means in this situation: "To go through with a situation that you're prolonging now rather than later." So in the case of Calia just dealing with the fact that she's going to be the Forsaken's new leader and change a few things.

Things like the human-body experiments and the plague are very very likely to go away even without Calia in charge. I still don't think their dark themes and architecture are going anywhere though.
