Ok, but the other paying customers who main Forsaken and were sold on them as dark nihilistic, sarcastic, morbid, zombie mad science bros for 15+ years don't.

There's gonna need to be a middle ground regardless. I don't believe that the Forsaken of old should just get scrapped but I also don't think it should stay either. The rest of the Horde are tired of the Forsaken going full evil.

Honestly the Forsaken playerbase doesn't really care about being "full evil" either. The Forsaken have and should be presented in a broad spectrum of dark. But dark does not always equal evil. It doesn't mean being NOT evil, either, granted. People should have room to rp that-

-too if such is their character fantasy. But they have always been and should continue to be dark. Even Forsaken priests are burned by the Light. Their entire culture, even the most noble parts, is seen through a lens of sarcastic morbidity or grim determination. -

It's very VERY easy to make this "middle ground" that non-Forsaken players want without outright inserting Calia on the throne. Calia doesn't represent a middle ground. She represents the polar opposite. People like Lilian or Faol are a middle ground.

Faol and Voss don't want to take up that position at all and that's where Calia comes in. Calia doesn't want the throne either but Forsaken NPCs express that they want her to lead and be there for them. She has Voss and Faol as advisers so that's how this can all work.

Honestly it would be super easy to write a situation where Voss decides she's needed for leadership. Waaaaay fucking easier than fitting the square peg that is Calia into the Forsaken's round hole. They're just examples, anyway. Quite literally almost any Forsaken character-

Calia's whole character is to finally be what can heal her people. Sylvanas focused way too much and way too long on the negatives of being undead. Finally we have a character who can focus on the good and help them out.

People keep saying we have plenty of Forsaken characters who take over the Forsaken Faction when really we don't. It was the same issue we had for the Darkspears for a while. They had to choose the most recognizable character to fill that spot.
