People want to see the leader as a character who has been with the forsaken all along. They want Helcular,Faranell, Velonara or Belmont. Who is the forsaken, not in form, but in spirit.

The issue with some of those characters is that they're not going to fit with the way the Horde is run. Velonara and maybe Helcular are the only ones I can maybe see be in a high position of the Forsaken. But Faranell and Belmont are likely with Sylvanas and not the Horde.

The Forsaken need a leader who not only can help them but is someone the Horde can trust to lead the Forsaken correctly as well. Else they'll be right back to square one with the Forsaken sadly. Voss and Calia are the two best options right now.

I'm just curious why you think giving them another dictator to railroad their theme is a good move. The problem with Sylvanas wasn't just that she was a meanie. Its that she was the be all end all of Forsaken politics. As a race they have no agency or individuality.

Losing Sylvanas is the first step to reclaiming some control, and we're just gonna hand the reigns to another queen? Its dull.

Its the same reason we didnt have another warchief after Sylvanas. Would it be as effective if they just went "ok now thrall is warchief"? Or is it more interesting to explore the mechanics of government and identify the root of the problems that gave way to the current story?

I think the difference is that there wouldn't be as much push-back if say Thrall was made Warchief again after Sylvanas flew off. A lot of people's issues clearly stem from how new Calia is both in character and in concept (Cont.)

Sylvanas has existed as the Leader of the Forsaken since 2004 to 2019. Those are big shoes to fill in general and I think even if it wasn't Calia there would still be push-back probably not as much Calia is receiving because of her light glow-up. (Cont.)

The main reasons why I am all for her is because I personally am pretty tired of the Forsaken continuously being a problem within the Horde and Calia seems like the best solution to ease in their mental health. (Cont.)

And a lot of people (keyword coming up) ASSUME she's going to be problematic is she's going to outright destroy the Forsaken's theme entirely. I don't think that's what her purpose is but I do think some of the Forsaken's themes from the last 15 years are going to go. (Cont.)

Will the Forsaken remain unsettling? Yes. Will the Forsaken still have themes of death? Yes. Will their symbol change? Maybe. Are they going to be about death to the living still? Some of them but they have better ties to the living now thanks to the Horde. (Cont.)

The main point I am mostly getting at here is I want a Forsaken that isn't Sylvanas' ideal people anymore but also a Forsaken that isn't completely different either. If Calia truly does -try- to change the Forsaken into something completely different then yeah fuck that. (Cont.)

But right now we don't have any signs of her doing that yet. And if she has Voss helping her lead that's a good start. I think all Calia truly wants to do right now is to fill that empty spot that Sylvanas once was.
