I wonder if people would be throwing their over Calia if she was a character since Cataclysm. Seems one of the issues is she's barely in the game and they don't feel like they need to read the books.
The Forsaken need a leader who not only can help them but is someone the Horde can trust to lead the Forsaken correctly as well. Else they'll be right back to square one with the Forsaken sadly. Voss and Calia are the two best options right now.

And Voss is helping Calia in some shape or form in getting into the role of the Leader of the Forsaken. So I imagine Voss will be an adviser of sorts (similar to Varimathras or Nathanos) for Calia.

Calia as a leader for the forsaken, like the current Sira would become the leader of the NE.And I don't wish that kind of evil for NE. Personally, I think Faranell is the ideal option - an experienced leader,a well-known scientist, a genius, and has authority among the forsaken.
-
Faranell is also a person who creates plagues and blight. I don't think the Horde Council would give the thumbs up to him being the Leader and face of the Forsaken.

I'm just curious why you think giving them another dictator to railroad their theme is a good move. The problem with Sylvanas wasn't just that she was a meanie. Its that she was the be all end all of Forsaken politics. As a race they have no agency or individuality.
-
Losing Sylvanas is the first step to reclaiming some control, and we're just gonna hand the reigns to another queen? Its dull.
