Calia is to become the Leader of the Forsaken at some point people. It's better to rip that band-aid off now than later folks.

It's not that I think she's going to change the Forsaken, I just really hate the idea of this brand new character suddenly being elevated to a leadership position.
Plenty of characters are done that way though. And it's not as if Calia is a brand new character entirely she's existed in the lore for quite some time. They're just finally doing something with her.

She kinda just showed up in one novel that not everyone read, and then she showed up in-game at the end of this expansion. You've got a plethora of Forsaken who could have earned this position, but you gotta give it to royalty? POWER TO THE PEOPLE. DOWN WITH DIVINE RIGHT.
