I view Legion's main story-lines the same way I view the story of the Expendables films: flashy, sometimes nonsensical fanservice featuring old favorites, with plenty of one-liners and nothing resembling deep storytelling.
Sometimes I'm surprised at how pissed off I get at Legion. It's not even a bad expansion like WoD or TBC (yes TBC was bad when it came to story). But it just got so many things wrong or left out that should've been in it. I do like Legion too it's like my 4th favorite expact.

Mind, I did love much of the Nightborne, Anduin and Val'sharah stuff. But those are not really the main takeaways of Legion's story.

TBC butchered characters story's, like Kael'thas and Illidan. But Legion fixed Illidans and hopefully SL will fix Kaels.

But TBC was a time where they kinda didn't know where to take the story, wasn't until Wrath when story became a thing.

TBC was great for raiding.. but I'll be damned if I want to play through it again.. I always skip that shit.
