Me, someone who does not really like Nathanos, and he is in no way a character I desire or favorite whatsoever: I'm going to wish for him to live and stick around.
Can't say I feel the same way about that. I had a lot more liking and love for Garrosh than I do for Nathanos. Malkorok and Nathanos are very much on the same page for me as characters.

Depending on the character, when people have a lot of overwhelming anger for a character I tend flip the mood toward them on purpose and I'm like you know what I'm gonna draw silly art of them.

However, characters like Nathanos, I've never gotten such automatic hateful or negative responses when doing art of him. Even Malfurion too, people were very upset and confused at feeling Good toward him.
