I'm of the belief that Nathanos still holds love for Sylvanas, and Sylvanas knows and plays off of this to keep him loyal, but really only cares for him as far as he's useful to her.

She definitely still loves him. They make that clear in subtle ways, some cutscenes and dialogue and stories. She specifically sought him out, she could’ve found anyone else to be her right hand. And before death she was the one who was more upfront about her feelings.

Yeah like I think she loves him but in a twisted and very fucked up sort of way. Like. I’ll stick by that she sort of isolated him on purpose while he was a Ranger in Silvermoon and now it’s moved on to a sort of Stockholm situation for him and a codependency situation for her.

I think he purposefully isolated himself. He seemed to like a quieter life, and didn’t want to be involved with other rangers. She didn’t seem to care much about judgement from other rangers, while he thought her image mattered and tried to keep their relationship hidden.

I mean like. She removed the possibility of him NOT isolating himself when she brought him into the Rangers to begin with. The guy can’t exactly run away and start a new life when she’s removed any of his connections besides evidently his baby cousin. Who she made him kill also?

You're talking like she put a gun to his head. I mean what? Sylvanas found comfort to have him around that's why she went to HIS house, + saw his potential, she literally saw how capable he was, and he wanted to be around her too. Trust, not everything is about ''ded lady bad''

I mean, the debate isn't so much about "ded lady bad." Ded lady has evidenced herself to be both manipulative and subversive to achieve her own ends, so a discussion on whether or not she's doing the same with her right hand definitely holds more water than that.

I mean when you ignore and don't read around the sentances and actions, like wanting to hold his hand when she arrived at Org in bts but holding herself back, I guess you can make those arguments.
