Going by some voice lines here so potentially major spoilers underway. Apparently, Anduin is going to get stuck in the Maw and Turalyon is the leader in his place. I personally take no issue with this. (1/4)

Saying nothing was harsh but they were propping him up as a main character in BfA and having him sit on his throne and report things just did not mesh well with me. At least at the end he was there to help confront Sylvanas at the start and at the end but that was really it.
This was a similar argument I had for Thrall back in Classic to TBC he didn't really do anything in the story and just stood around in his throne room giving orders. Wrath came up and started to have him do more than that with the Battle for Undercity and so on.

I don't think there was a single time Anduin "sat on his throne reporting things." He's at Kul Tiras when Jaina is appointed new Lord Admiral He releases Saurfang He goes back to Boralus again post Dazar'alor He goes to Dustwallow and then Durotar with Saurfang.

Those were moments where he wasn't but for the vast majority of the expansion, he was definitely on the throne not doing much of anything as compared to the likes of Jaina and Saurfang who they had next to him when they said "Jaina, Varok, Sylvanas & Anduin are the MC of BfA."
