Going by some voice lines here so potentially major spoilers underway. Apparently, Anduin is going to get stuck in the Maw and Turalyon is the leader in his place. I personally take no issue with this. (1/4)

Doing a stupid thing in the past doesn't suddenly make it okay to do another stupid thing. It's nonsensical 'rule of cool' writing.
They've been writing Anduin to doing reckless things since Mists of Pandaria. It's nothing new. And they usually reward Anduin's reckless behaviour with him getting broken legs or nearly dying to Sylvanas' shenanigans.

Going, "Anduin's always been reckless" is generalizing the complaint so much that it's lost all meaning. That's not the complaint. The complaint is them writing him as suddenly some front-line battalion leading warrior after years of establishing him as not that.

Suddenly he's charging in the front of the battle, smashing tanks with his magic sword, standing around at the gate of the realm of the dead which nobody has returned, just to be drawn into it. In MoP Anduin wasn't a King. Him being 'reckless' has a way different meaning now.
