I'm honestly surprised at how pissed off some people are getting with these new customizations. Like holy jeez. I've seen more outraged about it than anything gameplay-related lately.

I really don't get it either. Some of them don't want new things: so go play Classic then. Some of them don't want new skin tones: okay racists. And some of them don't want flowers in their hair because and I quote "it's gay". What is wrong with people?
