Gonna have to disagree on this one. You open your statement with "the only stated rule is on weapon is allowed" when that's not the case at all. A mak'gora doesn't really have that many established rules in general. It all depends on the participants and what they set for it.

Regardless, Thrall never used another physical weapon which is what that rule implies... It also says no armor of any kind except loin clothes, yet they were both wearing more than that. Also no witnesses. This Makgora did not follow the template you are referencing
Exactly! Every mak'gora follows it's own set of rules set by each of the fighters. Cairne and Garrosh set the rules for their mak'gora while Thrall and Garrosh didn't - meaning mostly anything can really go down.

Alright then, I will not keep requoting myself, but just remind that neither I, nor the lore never ever said "There are set of rules" or there is a "Physical weapon" rule. Magic is an allowed weapon, Thrall used elements. Don't make things up. Read. It's all lore facts, proven ;)
