Rant of the day: Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to make the hunter hero in hearthstone rexxar and on top of that give him a bow
Thompshire revealing his true colors. I can't believe you would do this. But in all seriousness, they chose Rexxar because he was one of the more well-known hunter-characters in WoW. They gave him a bow or ranged weapon probably to not confuse people on what a hunter is in WoW.
