You know, the tragic thing about Garrosh is that if Thrall listened to Garrosh, Cairne and co. Garrosh would've actually been a pretty good guy. That, and if he had a mentor of some sorts to help him or even to guide him, leading to his eventual fall.
I think it's the other way around. Thrall had good faith in Garrosh but only if he had listened to the people he left for him. Thrall take's very small partial blame for setting him up for the role but Garrosh was the one who botched it by ignoring everyone.

True, he did turn his back on everyone. I honestly think if he had someone to guide him during his transition into warchief, and have that someone be someone like him in a way. I still long for Saurfang - Garrosh story, where Saurfang takes Garrosh under his wing.

Thrall was definitely the wrong mentor for Garrosh. Saurfang was in the Horde that he admired, and would have been the perfect reality check for him.
