Never a fan of suddenly changing a characters entire history because people like them. People should like a character for who they are, not what they want them to be. It’s why her fanboys are so annoying. They never liked the actual character. But their warped version of her.
My issue with Sylvanas was she never felt like a full-on Horde character. So when in Legion that had her express some sorrow for Varian and Vol'jin I started to like her. There was a level of Sylvanas I liked pre-Cata during mostly WotLK but that was it.
I understand what you're saying. You would have liked to see character progression and development in Sylvanas instead of her being the same grumpy evil dead woman she's always been.
