This is looking to be an Unpopular Opinion: I think a Time Skip in WoW isn't a bad thing. I think that the story is in great need of a jump after everything that's happened every year for Azeroth. Cities, villages, forests, lands can be healed. Unions can be born. Etc.

I meant Azeroth as in the world, mortal society, but my words can also apply to the Titan.
We're a very resilient people I guess. Look at the Orcs and the Draenei! They've survived countless times when they probably shouldn't have.

Even by Warcraft logic, the Eastern Kingdoms were still recovering from the 1st & 2nd Wars by the time the 3rd War came, but the world's societies have survived or even thrived when we've been constantly bombarded with extinction-level threats over a handful of years in WoW.
