This is looking to be an Unpopular Opinion: I think a Time Skip in WoW isn't a bad thing. I think that the story is in great need of a jump after everything that's happened every year for Azeroth. Cities, villages, forests, lands can be healed. Unions can be born. Etc.

I just feel like they have themselves in a corner and its tough to keep sludging through. I think about the Redwall series and how it tells stories across multiple generations but the core fantasy is still there. I just think a fresh slate could do a lot for the games writing.
I personally don't agree with saying goodbye to the old characters anytime soon. They can very easily have old and new side by side just as they've been doing.

You're 100% allowed to feel that way. I'm just saying from a narrative perspective, a fresh start wouldn't be bad. Maybe the board doesn't need wiped but let's get some closure and threads wrapped up and get a solid base again.
