I definitely would prefer a built-up story. At least with Lor'themar and Thally there were hints. I wouldn't want them to just suddenly do a story with Rexxar and go "Uh hey they're in love" in two pages. I like genuine build-up.

I've personally seen the two's relationship as that since their first-ever interaction with each other in the Allied Race scenario. But that's me.

I guess? I don't know I've seen Lor'themar and Thally as a pair since then and Naz'jatar helped it click more. Then they finally sealed the deal with her asking him ti Suramar by the end of BfA.

Hard disagree. It would be like the game introducing aggra as an NPC in one quest line. And then they put out a short story where they’re making out. It read like twilight to me, especially after reading in a second time.
