Kinda confused on the mentality of, "They must be doing bad if they're giving us what we want." Isn't that the opposite? They're doing good by giving people what they've wanted for years.

The idea is more of a "break glass in case of emergency" situation. People think Blizzard are worried about player engagement, sub numbers, etc. so they're giving players what they've asked for in order to placate them / keep hype up and so on.
