But you know what would be better? Play together across those lines. The covernants are the first chance to break these Race/Faction bounds so we are not bound to them anymore. It would bring in the conflict of Ideas and not race/people.

I'm open to the idea of the Factions being able to play together just so long as the Horde and Alliance aren't removed in the process. Covenants at most could do that temporarily maybe but at the same time it'd be odd to have characters be against their fellow factions too.

That was not in legion?

Legion still had you play with Faction & even had storylines incorporated to keep the fight going. Mainly in Stormheim. They even had Faction-Specific followers for some of the Order Halls. It then opened the doors for peace, and then Sylvanas shot it dead. BfA follows that too.

It's the scorpion and the frog. Peace will only last till one faction wants something that belongs to the other. This isn't a great philosophical insight. It's just the way the game was written. The rest of the Alliance isn't going to play nice just because Anduin tells them to.

And this can open for very interesting storylines since the Alliance has usually only been portrayed as a perfect Faction with very little problems going on within its faction. But I think it'll still end how it usually does with those for Peace winning.
