Maybe? Or could be that the 3D wasn't good enough back then to have it be all 3D.
Well the majority of the show was in 2D and the scenes in Lyoko were all in 3D. I think that the 3D was actually pretty alright especially the monsters.

That's what i meant, to have everything in lyoko be 3d. Or its the ugliness of just the Human models in that part.
