I always ALMOST really liked Code Lyoko. I donno why but there's just a slight something that I can't articulate which bothered me.

Maybe? Or could be that the 3D wasn't good enough back then to have it be all 3D.

Well the majority of the show was in 2D and the scenes in Lyoko were all in 3D. I think that the 3D was actually pretty alright especially the monsters.
