I've seen Rastakhan getting a lot of hate lately. While Rastakhan was complacent I don't see why people blame him for the actions of his Council. Zandalar was actually not destroyed by the Cataclysm it was explained in the questing and some dialogue with the characters that it only had a small flooding. He also later took on Talanji's advice.

I'm hoping we'll see him in the Other Side and is able to talk to his daughter one final time. That's my biggest hope in Shadowlands is letting characters getting to say their goodbyes.

Honestly, I don't hate him. Looks like he was old so easily manipulable by his council. Then, he tried to repair his mistakes... But it was really NOT wise to link Bwonsamdi to his blood lineage as it cursed his daughter. It helps pre-SL scenario but not Rastakhan's story...

In the defense of Bwonsamdi. At least the Loa wanted Sylvanas gone early on too.

I actually blame the horde, if somehow, we had reached Zandalar before of BfA we could have helped. Yet we arrived on a Kingdom ready to fall, from Jakrazet and the sethrak, the blood trolls and the Zanchuli. Rastakhan was F. We only helped to prolong his reign and Bwomsamdi...

I'm not entirely sure if the Horde arriving any sooner would change anything. If anything Zul would merely have to change his schedule and ramp things up sooner. We're looking at a plot that Zul was conniving for quite some time.
