People kept saying that the Machine of Death in #Shadowlands is broken at least after Burning Crusade since Kael'thas is the latest to die. But did y'all forget that Uther's soul has been trapped in Frostmourne until the Fall of the Lich King? Can't go to SL without a soul.

I may be a raving Nelf fan but that doesn't mean I'm going to let Fandral Staghelm off the hook for the things he did. I assumed Garrosh had a first class ticket to the Maw with priority boarding. Why wouldn't he go there?
The Maw is reserved for the worst of the worst. Those beyond redemption & those who threaten how the Shadowlands operates. While Garrosh was definitely a bad egg there is room for redemption in Revendrath. And if Garrosh doesn't adhere to Revendrath then he'd be sent to the Maw.

Illidan probably get's to skip the entire Shadowlands process because of how much of a demon he had become by the time of his first death. Plus Illidan did the majority of his actions for either Azeroth or Tyrande.

I'm not looking for a 'gottcha' opening here. I'm genuinely interested. What do you think the criteria is for getting sent to the Maw and do you have some examples in mind? What separates the merely despicable from the irredeemable?

Characters like Xavius, Azshara, Lei-Shen, Kil'jaeden (If No Longer a Demon), Gul'dan, Arthas, Ner'zhul. Characters with no redeeming qualities whatsoever, have immense power, and can meddle with the Shadowlands to some degree.
