I didn't care if Calia became the Forsaken leader or not, but after the complete meltdown over a single goddamn sentence representing a new way forward for a race in a video game, I want Blizzard to do it just to show you dont capitulate to a toddler throwing a tantrum. #Warcraft

I'm getting similar vibes here that the community just won't let a character grow and form because they just don't like them and don't want them replacing a character. I felt that way when Thrall stepped down in Cataclysm.

Honestly, and I dont care if people get upset at this, but legitimately its almost exclusively male players who played Warcraft as tweens and never emotionally progressed as a person seeing stuff they played 20 years ago start to change and having a toddleresque temper tantrum.

When you first met me, I was a pretty big fan of Sylvnaas Windrunner. Battle for Azeroth was a wake up call for me where I basically grew past my initial feelings for said character. I'd say I am far more open and willing for change then I was four years ago.

I think people definitely need to open themselves up more for change. The Forsaken and Horde cannot always be how they were ten or so years ago. Things would get stagnant and boring pretty quickly if all they did was stay the way they are all the time.

If the Horde weren't given constant plot armor when they randomly decide to be evil, they would have been annihilated by Varian & the Alliance a decade ago. Which makes the fanboys' freakout particularly funny. They only exist because Blizz actively metagames their protection.

I personally want them to stick with their guns & push for these changes for the Horde. The Council was a good idea. The people put in charge of said Council (aside from maybe Gey'erah) was a good idea. But they have a chance of ruining this if they listen to the wrong crowd.

I think Gey'arah makes sense. Everyone gave her a lot of shit for siding with Sylvanas during the whole Baine Imprisonment, but it made sense considering her faction was less than a patch-worth of canon time in the Horde and the Iron Horde grew up listening to the Warchief.

I concur. I just am not the biggest fan of her and think she might cause some trouble down the line if the Draenei ever do anything. That being said at least she's anti-Sylvanas now and potentially could bond with her AU-Brother Thrall.
