Can this probably be worded a bit better? Probably. But I don't think they should change it too much. The Forsaken shouldn't be what Sylvanas made them out to be anymore elsewise what's the point of them being in the Horde if they're still causing trouble without her. (2/2)

It’s a total whitewash of their history. Sylvanas being gone doesn’t overhaul their entire history overnight.

I think the summaries are supposed to be regarding the new lore for each of the races. A lot is different from how the Forsaken were in say the Cataclysm to how they are now after Battle for Azeroth. It's the same for the Orcs who're no longer under Hellscream.

The “new lore”? The class intros have always dipped into the history of the race. That’s what makes them cool to play.

Exile's Reach is going to make things differ in that regard. Only old players will be able to go back in time to the days of Cataclysm and its storytelling. New Players get Exile's Reach where they're treated to a whole new intro.

And how does that affect the importance of knowing your race’s background? This is an RPG. The world and the lore matter.

I'm very aware the world and the lore matter (it's why I play) but WoW has always had the trouble of telling new players or the new lore in certain areas. Sylvanas is gone and therefore there's going to be changes made.

So because they’ve struggled, now you’re cool with just ignoring the past?
